lucky me, I am friends with my ex, when you spend what seems like a lifetime with someone,then fall apart, part of the healing is forgiveness and let's face it life is too short to keep anger and bitterness in our hearts.

Yes - I'm friends with all 3 of my ex's. I agree with nanny9 that once you've spent so much time with someone, shared so many memories, had laughs etc..its hard to hold a grudge, unless of course they did something terrible that could not be forgiven.

I speak to one of my ex's on a weekly basis, we just work better as friends.

I desperately want to be friends with my ex, I've tried to be friendly and he is polite but seems disinterested.

I think that deep down i really just want us together again. But I miss him as a person even if we can never work

I am. In fact we get on better now than we ever did when we were married and I consider him one of my best friends as does he with me. He's remarried and even though his new wife absolutely hates us being friends we have 3 kids together and we met when we were just 17 so you can't just instantly erase that kind of history.

I have two ex husbands and the first one is friends with me, but he lives interstate but when he comes to visit our grown up children I say hello and be polite if I see him...the second husband is still hurting and reluctant to be friends, its been over two years now. He is abit on the nasty side but I hope he gets over it for our childrens sakes. They are 16, 14 and 11.

I'm friends with one of my exs and the guy that I'm currently seeing was an ex. I think some times being friends with exs works well and some times it doesn't, depends on the person.

Yes I am good friends with my Ex husband. People find it hard to understand that when he is in town he stays at my place.(and nothing sexual)? We always have done this since kids were young. Even when I have seen someone else. Thats how it is if they can't accept..Oh well :0) and I talk to my Ex I was with 16 years even though we had a few bad times. No use holding grudges.

I've never been married but a few boyfriends and are still friends with some although sometimes it gets tricky ,sometimes wanting more..and wonder if its best to close the chapter ,but i would miss that person and having them in ur life on some level is sometimes okay & can make life kinda interesting .2 be continued,,lol :

yes, sometimes it feels like a negative vbem but if you shared alot through your relationship then having a friendship can sort of mend the broken feelings in between.
