Gascoigne and King Candles
The SheSaid team is obsessed with Anthropologie candles, and while the US store does deliver to Australia, the shipping is so pricey you might as well fly over there and buy them yourself! Word of warning: cheap candles use inferior wax and burn out quickly. Enter Gascoigne and King candles. Made in Sydney using recycled and sustainable materials, each candle is hand made using slow-burning farmed soy wax. The packaging is classicly elegant and they even encourage you to re-use the glass, how clever! The scent combinations are completely unique, my favourites are Pear Angelys (a refreshing pear), Belle (honeysuckle, vanilla and jasmine) and Mount Fuji Rice Flower (rice flower and fig). $55.00.

Flowers
For something different, arrange for your local florist to deliver flowers to the recipient once a month, or at the beginning of every season. Imagine welcoming summer with a fresh bouquet of peonies arriving at your doorstep! There's nothing like fresh flowers, and it's a gift that will keep them surprised throughout the year. Plus it's a great way to support local business.
